Return to Winter Soccer Camps/Training Statement

Hello!

We are certainly excited to be back!  Covid 19 has prevented us with many challenges but we will preserver.  The Soccer Academy/DTD Athletics will do its best to provide a sense of community, safety, and normalcy to the campers all while having FUN!

Here are some of those ways we will be making a safe and healthy camp experience for the Winter Months.  Illinois has now moved into Phase 4 so camps in winter look very different in a positive way.  We can now have groups of 50 and the players can have full contact plus play actual games.  The Soccer Academy will STILL have all safety protocols in place with hand sanitizer, water, bathrooms being cleaned etc…   Social distancing will also occur when we are able to do so.  Oak Brook Terrace Fitness Center has taken all protocols to ensure a clear healthy environment for the kids.

  •  Only up to 25 Campers in the indoor facility. All campers will get water outside the facility.
  • Air Purifiers will be used in the gym to ensure air quality and circulation cutting down on any problems.
  • We have and will maintain a registered log of each camper that is present that day
  • Drop off/Pick Up of campers will be outdoor (Except for Future Kickers) to ensure not having to many people in the facility.  All parents will remain in cars outside the facility which is covered from wind and rain etc…   At the conclusion of each camp session we will have each group dismissed one group at a time from where we meet.
  • Water-  I will be providing bottled water on a daily basis to keep campers safe. HOWEVER all players MUST bring their own water bottle. If they forget their water bottle and or need more water from what they currently have we will make it available.
  •  All coaches will wear masks during the sessions.  (Players will not be required to wear masks while playing however each player is required to have a mask with them each day to wear during water breaks and when entering and leaving the facilty.
  • We will have hand sanitizing stations, for kids and staff to use.  This will be available at all times.
  • No parents or spectators will be allowed in and or around the gym do to numbers of people protocols.  You should plan to NOT enter the facility unless completely necessary after the 1st initial day of drop off of camp.
  • All coaches each day will take their temperature prior to arrival to ensure their health and welfare.  All parents will be told to take their campers temperature prior to their daily arrival at camp if they suspect a health problem.
  • Bathrooms- The bathrooms will be open as usual for campers.  My plan is to have one of our staff members go in at the half way point of EACH DAY of camp and clean/wipe down the bathrooms so they stay clean and safe. (Regardless of what the facility does)

Elmhurst University has a proven track record of excellence and our Soccer Academy is no exception! ECSA is always on the cutting edge, supplying our students with only the best and most thorough instruction. Our staff of top coaches from the Midwest and beyond will challenge and propel players to new personal heights, both physically and mentally. Our curriculum is high tech, with years of research installed into its development.

The reputation we have built over the past 16 years has proven that we provide the best possible training a player can receive. At the conclusion of camp, campers will be ecstatic with their new knowledge of soccer and self. They will carry a higher level of self-esteem and feel great about their accomplishments. I am personally involved in every aspect of the Academy to ensure the utmost in quality. Whether our players are just starting out in the Mini-kickers program, or looking to play at the collegiate level with one of our ID Camps, let The Soccer Academy help them begin to realize their full potential!

THE REVIEWS ARE IN!

"I wanted to write to you and let you know that my 9 year old son and 11 year old daughter had an incredible camp experience. All the staff members are very professional and take care of the kids every day. Each day they are so excited to return to camp and you giving homework is a great idea! Thank you for providing our community with such a great soccer camp."

Lisa Feilhaber- Mom of 2016 Soccer Academy Campers

“Coach DiTomassos Winter Futsal training is incredible.  The coaches push you but are great teachers.  They made my 9 year old daughter work hard every session but also make sure she had fun! We will be back.”

- Parent of Abby (9 years old)

"The Nike Elite 150 Camp at Elmhurst this past summer was an outstanding experience for our daughter.  She got to work with some outstanding coaches from all levels of college coaching.  They gave her great feedback and advice for pursuing her goal of playing college soccer.  In our minds this camp was a key for building confidence and knowledge about soccer at a higher level. She came away from camp with a confident attitude that helped her as she approached the ODP Regional  Tournament and Region II camp last July, and now the national training camp.  That is a great group of coaches that work that Nike Camp at Elmhurst.  I hope they continue to provide that experience for young ladies."

-Parent of Elite 150 Girls Camper

"I am just writing to let you know that I enjoyed the camp very much. I think it was the most beneficial camp I've ever attended. I'm glad I was able to spend some time with current players, and look around campus some more."

-Elite 150 Boys Camper

"Money and time well spent. A very good investment in your youth athlete. Great confidence builder. I observed the entire camp each day and was very impressed. Only positive feedback from my 12 year old son."

-Parent of Nike Soccer Camper

"This was my daughter’s first full day camp experience, and I can’t say enough about the staff and instructors at the Soccer Academy. My 8 yr old daughter’s confidence and skill has grown immensely, and she has since convinced me to sign her up for competitive soccer this upcoming season. We will be back!"
